Network PLUS isn't your traditional networking organization. Traditional networking is about exchanging business cards and a strict focus on transactions. Many organizations have a lot of rules about exclusivity and mandates for how you must participate. Network PLUS has none of those rules.
Network PLUS is built on a few core principles...
First, always come with the intent of standing in service to others -- that's right, help others first. If you genuinely assist others in growing their business, making referrals and introducing them to the right connections it will come back to you time and time again through the law of reciprocity.
Second, it's about QUALITY not quantity. It is great to meet a lot of new people, but it's even better to start forming strong professional relationships with just 2 or 3 people as a result of one event. People do business with people they like, respect and trust. That doesn't come from exchanging business cards, that comes from a focus on relationships (which the first point also helps build).
Third, it's NOT about doing business with the people in the room; it's about building a team and connections. If you build relationships with the right people who complement your business and/or have relationships with your target market, then as their trust and confidence in you grows, the more willing they'll be to open you up to not one new prospect at a time, but dozens.
