Questions & Additional information

BPD afflicts more than 6 million people in the United States alone. Bon Dobbs provides support groups, educational materials and on-line learning for those who are in a relationship with someone with this difficult disorder (Non-BPs).

On April 2, 2008, the U.S. Congress passed House Resolution # 1005 declaring May "National Borderline Personality Disorder Awareness Month" with a vote of 417-0. Two of the provisions of this resolution are:

"Whereas despite its prevalence, enormous public health costs, and the devastating toll it takes on individuals, families, and communities, BPD only recently has begun to command the attention it requires;

Whereas it is essential to increase awareness of BPD among people suffering from this disorder, their families, mental health professionals, and the general public by promoting education, research, funding, early detection, and effective treatments;"

My business is to increase awareness and, further, to offer effective strategies and training to reduce the suffering of the families and loved ones of people with this disorder. It is not therapy - it is support and skills communication.
